Originally from Ontario, Stephanie is a graduate of the Winery and Viticulture program at Niagara College with extensive experience both domestically and abroad. She joined the Play team in March 2019.
After harvest at Trius Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake (ON), Stephanie moved her focus to work with single vineyard wine and premium blends at Te Awa in Hawke’s Bay (NZ). She gained foundational knowledge in ‘old world’ winemaking at Porto Cruz and Quinta de Lubazim in the Douro Valley in Portugal.
Stephanie returned to Canada and worked several vintages as assistant winemaker at Culmina Family Estate Winery before coming to Play as winemaker.
Jeannette has been involved in the British Columbia wine industry for more than a decade. She holds an undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University, and moved from Vancouver to the Okanagan in 2007.
Since then Jeannette has held key positions at several Okanagan wineries – from tasting rooms to the cellar and into administration. She has worked with wineries of all sizes on strategic communications, developing wine clubs, and streamlining operations. Jeannette joined the Play team in 2020.
